The Challenges You will assess, develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring skills in activities of self care, daily living, work activities, leisure and play. You will provide functional, cognitive and perceptual assessment and training of daily activities, facilitate work rehabilitation, prescribe and train in the use of assistive technology or devices, and apply ergonomic principles to performance of occupations. You will also educate and provide training for family members and caregivers on interventions and caregiving skills. For mental health setting, you will devise treatment to help overcome patients’ lack of confidence, irrational fears, anxieties and difficulties in relationships with others. You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

- Degree
- Registered with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable
- Team player, possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient focus, genuine desire to make a difference
- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
- Passionate about building a healthcare career, inspired to move ahead with challenges, possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to thrive in fast paced environment
