AVP, Corporate Services Job Reference No : CS/SMA/1109/001

The AVP, Corporate Services is responsible to:

-          Provide leadership and management of wide-ranging corporate services comprising of finance, business & operational support, legal & contractual matters, HR & training and facilities management.

-          Provide strategic support to SMA Management to ensure company achieves its qualitative and monetary targets set for each financial year via generating both internal and external revenue, costs control and through streamlining its processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Leadership/Finance

-          Provide leadership and work closely with Management in performing long-term financial planning and analysis aimed at identifying risks, opportunities, and options that will inform strategies to provide resources for achievement of SMA objectives.

-          Oversee and control the preparation of SMA’s budgets and work closely with Finance Department to ensure they are flexible and responsive to SMA’s business needs and operations.

-          Communicate financial information, advice and options to program managers on regular basis on profit, cost variances, financial analysis and product costing to improve course program management and profitability

-          Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and budget updates to GMM.

-          Work with external auditors and tax agents on yearly audits and tax matters.

-          Work with line management of Finance, HR, IT etc to build an integrated and forward looking corporate services team through:

    1. Ensuring a flexible and efficient team to deliver results against a background of significant change
    2. Leading and inspiring staff, providing clear direction and management.

Business & Operational Support/Legal & Contractual Matters

 

WDA/WSQ

-          Support SMA Management on financial, legal and contractual matters on WDA/WSQ Agreement.

-          Appointment as SMA Management Representative to handle and manage matters relating to WDA/WSQ contractual terms and conditions and required submissions.

-          Manage Career Placement under the terms and conditions of the Agreement.

 

Business Operations

-          Manage a team to provide pre & post administrative support to the program managers comprising of contracts matters, fee collections, training room utilization & logistics.

-          Creative Services & New Media support – provide support to program managers with marketing collaterals and to enhance course/training experience with new media integration.

-          Handles sales & business contracts with Legal department.

-          Manage front desk & telemarketing support.

  

HR & Training

-          Work with HR business partners to handle all HR-related matters.

-          Work closely with HR Learning & Development partners to understand MediaCorp training needs, hence to provide training solutions.

-          Design, develop & conduct training courses as appropriate.

-          Provide support to research, identify and analyze the credibility of training partners and evaluate course/program proposals.

 

Facilities Management

-          Centre management & administration – manage building-related matters such as landlord matters, insurance, cleaning services and general facilities.

-          Purchase and maintenance of office equipments and fixed assets.

-          Oversee risk management to ensure control and systems are in place to effectively safeguard assets of the company.

 

Strategic

-          Work closely with SMA Management in strategic planning, prioritization and decision making.

-          Assist SMA in achieving CET Centre excellence with WDA and be recognized as a leading training centre for the media industry.

-          Work with direct reports to establish goals, objectives and plans that support company’s objectives.

 

Requirements:

-          Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 years working experience in Finance in a managerial capacity.

-          Degree holders preferably in Finance-related discipline.

-          Experience in managing corporate services functions such as HR, Legal, Operations, IT etc.

-          Experience in managing new set-up or leading new initiatives.

-          Effectively bilingual

-          Strong communication & presentation skills with some sales flair

-          Possess established network of trainers, media professionals and external partners

-          Meticulous

-          Self-motivated and able to lead and motivate start-up team

-          Training delivery experience will be a strong advantage
