The Challenges You will provide planned course of radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist, observing radiation safety measures and practice standards. You will prepare and construct equipment such as immobilisation, treatment and protection devices. You will perform simulations using a range of computerised simulation and treatment machines, and will conduct machine safety checks. You will educate patients and their family members or caregivers regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care. You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.
The Requirements - Degree
- Registered with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable
- Team player, possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient focus, genuine desire to make a difference
- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
- Passionate about building a healthcare career, inspired to move ahead with challenges, possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to thrive in fast paced environment
