The Challenges You will perform objective and subjective eye examination to determine the type of refractive error so as to provide patients with the appropriate prescription for the use of getting vision corrective aids such as spectacles and contact lenses. You will provide contact lens fitting assessment to determine the appropriate lens fit and also to deliver patient education on proper contact lens care and usage. You will also provide periphery diagnostic test such as corneal topography, ultrasound pachymetry and intraocular pressure for patients requiring cornea transparent or refractive surgery, and perform both contact and non-contact biometry assessment to determine the parameters required for intraocular implants and ultrasound B scans to elicit the presence of any intra-orbital abnormality. You will be expected to participate in various forms of community eye screening projects undertaken by the department, contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

- Registered with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable
- Team player, possess good interpersonal and communication skills

- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
