PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the counselling of patients on the use of CPF (Central Provident Fund) Medisave accounts, explain chronic care management packages available at our polyclinics, process case documents and work with polyclinic staff to provide a pleasant visit experience for patients.
A financial counsellor is expected to perform all of the following areas of financial counselling functions:
1) Financial Counsellor’s Office
· Provide financial counselling for Family Physicians’ patients.
· Assist in Medisave sign-up and renewal.
· Daily reconciliation of MAF (Medisave Application Form).
· Ensure the proper filing and safeguarding of MAF.
· Retrieval and duplicate MAF when requested by patients.
· Provide counselling for Baby Bonus sign-up.
· Assist in Baby Bonus application and other administrative processes.
· Update Medisave status.
· Provide waiver counselling, determine how much appropriate wavier percentage to be granted to patient.
· Counsel patients on the use of Medisave Draw Down Scheme.
· Liaise with Finance Department on refund, service code and charges, Medisave finance-related issues.
2) Clinical Support
· Assist other operations support staff when called upon by either by the Operations Executives or Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of GCE “N” / “O” level or completed secondary education.
- Preferably with 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in general administration, store keeping or office maintenance
- Pleasant disposition and personality.
- Physically and medically fit for work.
- Able to communicate in simple English.
- Good interpersonal skills to relate to people.
