The Challenges The Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) seeks applications from scientists qualified in the development of peptide immunoassays to lead a biomarker laboratory within the context of a translational research programme conducted by the CVRI and the National University Heart Centre Singapore. The laboratory to be established will be under the overall direction of Professor A Mark Richards, the newly appointed Director to the CVRI. It is intended that this laboratory will be the site of development of novel biomarkers in addition to performing immunoassays of established cardiovascular peptide biomarkers. Development of the laboratory will be undertaken in close collaboration with the Director's current immunoassay laboratory based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is anticipated that interchange of intellectual and technical information will be undertaken between these two laboratories and that workforce interchange will also occur. The Requirements - A biochemistry graduate with a minimum qualification of PhD and some experience of immunoassay development, conduct and quality control.
