Research Scientist, National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) The Challenges You should have a strong interest in infectious diseases, and will be expected to lead project groups working on viruses or bacteria. You will be involved in diagnostic development, molecular epidemiology, strain typing/genotyping and bioinformatics, and will be required to liaise with the Ministry of Health, when directed by the Head of National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL).
Requirements - PhD in Infectious Diseases or a related field
- Post-doctoral experience in infectious disease research preferred
- Good competencies of microbiological, virological and immunological techniques
- Strong background in molecular biology and bioinformatics
- Ability to lead research project independently and work in a team
- Good oral and written communication skills
