Responsibilities: - Assist in the supervision of the installation and maintenance of the optic fibre cables for the FTTH roll out.
- Perform fibre splicing and acceptance testing of optic fibre cable on the daily basis as instructed by the supervisor.
- Attend optic fibre cable failure/breakdown during and after office hours by carrying out investigation and the restoration process in compliance with the SOP.
- Assist supervisor to check and verify the works performed by the contractors at sites.
- Attend site meeting and survey work sites.
- Prepare requests for clearing pipe blocks, pipe congestions, manhole covered by tar, opening duct seal, etc.
- Assist supervisor for the verification and closing of service orders.
- Work on irregular hours, such as night, public holidays and weekends at very short notice when such need arises.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements: - Higher NITEC or NITEC in relevant field or GCE "O" level.
- At least 2 years working experience.
- Independent and self-driven.
- Good communication skills.
- A strong team player.
- Knowledge of GPON technology and Fibre Optics.
- Class 3 driving licence.
