Responsibilities: - Strong planning and scheduling of daily activities to meet business targets and agreed deliverables.
- Ability to support deliverables for websites and associated applications.
- Architecting solutions to satisfy internal project requirements.
- Managing the relationship with external software development vendors.
- Facilitating the improvement of internal processes.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in coordination with support teams.
- Coordination with off shore development teams.
Requirements: - A Degree from a recognized university, preferably in Computer Science.
- At least 6 years post graduation experience, of which 2 years are in a senior technical management capacity.
- Experience in delivering high traffic internet portals, mobile portals and applications.
- Detailed knowledge of the processes associated with software development.
- Knowledge and experience in the following:
- WebLogic Server
- Linux scripting experience
- Database design/admin skills
- Strong Java/J2EE skills
- Strong Object Oriented Design Experience
- Version control (preferably subversion)
- UML
- Internet and telco business knowledge would be advantageous.
- Good people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in IT and business.
