Responsibilities:

• Capacity and lease circuits arrangements
• Check the Pegasus circuit queue for Leased Circuits orders.
• Co-ordinate with stations concerned and overseas administrations on the implementation of bearer via various cable systems or satellite, leased circuits (voice grade leases, high speed leases), voice, ISDN/ISUP, and C7 data link.
• Prepare the re-grooming of 2Mbps bearer via cable or satellite for optimum use of resources.
• Assign the channel allocations for various type of circuits via  cable or satellite systems.
• Co-ordinate with overseas administrations on the ISUP testing and conversion of voice to ISUP(V) and ISDN to ISUP(Data) circuits.
• Arrange with distant end on the circuit designation/channel allocation/line-up tests.
• Arrange with distant end the roll-over of leased circuits, downgrading and upgrading of circuits.
• Issue engineering works order to cable stations or earth stations concerned to carry out the works after finalisation of above. This also includes end to end capacity deployment (Singapore centric or 2nd to 3rd countries).
• Restoration arrangements
• Arrange bilateral restoration using the existing spare capacity.
• Activate restoration bearer using the spare ownership.
• Study and prepare the Activation & Restoration (A&R) commitment of various Cable Systems.
• Send the proposed A&R commitment to overseas administrations for their comments/concurrence.
• Records and Reports
• Maintain updated records for DCME, activated bearers/circuits via cable or satellite media and able connection for countries in-charged.
• Prepare monthly status report.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge in SDH and IP technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as well as in a team.
• Good technical writing and communication skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and a team player across different groups and levels.
• Possess drive and energy to explore new ways of doing things to improve customer service.
• Savvy in window applications software skill such as MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Access.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as a team.
