Responsibilities:

• Responsible for troubleshooting and timely resolution of faults/issues in IP network supporting OSPF, BGP, MPLS/VPN services.
• Provide 24 x 7 operational supports for IP networks.
• Analyse IP network performance and take proactive actions and preventive measures to monitor and enhance the network performance including software and hardware upgrades, etc.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on the IP network.
• Support the expansion, upgrades and roll-outs of new network infrastructure involving hardware such as routers and switches, associated software, network monitoring and management systems.
• Prepare statistical reports on network and equipment performance.
• Support engineering teams on new product/feature implementation, node deployment and technical support matters.
• Perform Network performance analysis & capacity planning.

Requirements:

• A good Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems from a recognized institution.
• Have at least 2 years IP related working experience.
• Possess expertise with Cisco and Juniper equipment installation.
• Possess the followings:
• In-depth understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSFP, BGP, MPLS/VPN etc
• Knowledge of Cisco and/or Juniper routers architecture and technology
• Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
• Those who have the followings will have added advantage:
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP)
• Working experience in the operation of IP network of global service providers.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
